Well, this picture says it all...we were MAD SCIENTISTS last week!
After their hypothesis to determine if they would see a chemical change or a physical change, the 3rd grade scientists got to work. They collected data as they poured and stirred. They observed and wrote down properties of the solution before and after the change.
Finally, the time came when they got to mix the Elmer's glue solution with the Borax solution...
...from the cup...
...into their hands!!
As you can see, they had a blast with this brand new substance that was created through the chemical change.
It even bounced!
Science is just plain FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sienna was absent, so she got to play with it today. Isn't she the sweetest??
